A Gallup Poll showed trust in mainstream news is at an all time low.
Published September 14, 2016, the Gallup Poll displays a chart that has MSM news corporations and Hillary Clinton panicking. Trust in mainstream news is at an all time low, with only 32% trusting it.. The establishment means of manipulating public opinion is crashing and burning. Most of the MSM news supporting Hillary Clinton is so extremely and blatantly biased and unobjective that people are increasingly flocking to alternative indie news sources. One point of grave concern is, however, that Obama apparently intends to relinquish US control of Internet freedom to parties that most likely will be more totalitarian in their approach.
1. President Obama lashed out at alternative news sites and bloggers claiming that "misinformation" was being spread, shortly after this Gallup Poll was released by the pollsters on September 18th. This was ironic considering that the MSM has obviously become the main culprit when it comes to misinformation and distortion.
2. CNN then followed suit in the blame game, claiming that Donald Trump is, “taking credit for that drop in trust". CNN is perhaps at the top of the list, when it comes to MSM bias, disinfo and propaganda. See here, here and here for recent examples.
3. President Obama is now set to relinquish Internet freedom on October 1, 2016 to the globalist powers that be, that are not exactly freedom loving. This could jeopardize the presidential election and will likely wipe out Internet free speech in the long run. The Hill asks, "Why change it now and so close to the election?"
Recent polls show that Trump has been gaining dramatically against Clinton in their contest for the US presidency and one of the main reasons is because people can research the extensive corruption of the Clinton family and see how disastrous it would be if Hillary ever became president. People are beginning to realize that the constant focus on Trump's social insensitivity by the MSM is not much of a consideration when contrasted with Clinton's corruption. Hillary was named as the "most corrupt politician" in 2015 by an independent non-partisan watch-dog organization, Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT).
For the time being, bloggers and indie news are free to post well-researched news. But those days may be coming to an end, and quickly. Based on his comments, President Obama probably relishes the thought. And as you may remember, Hillary Clinton tried to blame YouTube and Internet freedom for the terrorist attack at the Benghazi consulate. She would be most pleased if there was no Internet freedom to challenge the MSM propaganda supporting her.
The Hill opines: "Changing who controls ICANN jeopardizes our presidential election" and that changing who controls the Internet can have a number of other very serious consequences. Hacking problems have been rising during this election cycle and could be blamed for a false outcome if Trump wins: "Russian hackers are suspected of breaching voter registration systems in Illinois and Arizona." Also, basic access rights could be limited by all: "If ICANN changes hands, so do the security measures taken to protect the rightful owner of your web site. If a site was hijacked today – not an uncommon crime in the cyber world - to reassert yourself as the rightful owner, you would go through law enforcement channels, your domain provider, and yes, ICANN."
The Washington Times offers that Congress could still stop the Internet giveaway, but it's doubtful if Congress could overcome its apathy regarding such matters. The WSJ has offered, "If the U.S. abdicates internet stewardship, the United Nations might take control."
