Mainstream News Offers Disinfo on Organic Food Reports

Organic farming is a booming industry, the fastest growing agricultural sector with a growth of 21 percent per year. A new article out of Stanford University, however, is being used to claim that there is no substantial health advantage offered in organic foods. Various mainstream news outlets have labelled the article as a "scientific study," however, as Natural News has pointed out, it's simply a research paper regarding other scientific studies. But that's just the beginning of the disinfo involved. The term disinfo may in fact be too kind. Mike Adams at Natural News has pointed out a number of reasons why the main claim is an outright lie.

In his recent article, Mike Adams has pointed out that certified organic food requirements basically prohibit the use of GMO technology in products. The fact that mainstream news is aligned with GMO technology is not surprising considering the historical copacetic relationship between mainstream news and pro-GMO business inetrests. For example, Fox News, one of the mainstream news companies helping to promote the present false report, fired two of its journalists who desired to report on documented health hazards related to Monsanto's bovine growth hormone in milk, rBGH. Monsanto is the largest genetically modified food producer in the world. The widespread collusion between Monsanto and the FDA, the government brach that is supposed to be monitoring US food health, has been widely documented revealing a level of corruption much deeper than people are led to believe. Food control is a powerful political and social weapon.

It has been documented that personalities such as Bill Gates and David Rockefeller, who promoted GE foods globally for others, actually forbid it in their own cafeterias. Though it has been estimated that as much as 92% of Americans want the FDA to label genetically engineered foods, mainstream news tends to avoid these types of facts.

Natural Society has debunked the Stamford University article in a recent video clip. In the interest of your health and the health of your family, I recommend you check it out. "Debunked: Ridiculous Study Claims Organic Same as Conventional (Video)"

As an update and follow-up to this article, The New York Times has begun attacking consumers who buy organic food, and deriding the documented proof of organic superiority as a "fable."

  1. Rick, have you bothered to read the systematic review that you are so freely claiming to be rubbish, or have you simply accepted the claims opponents such as the ever ridiculous Mike Adams?

  2. In case you're interested in reading the study here's a link

    From the review:
"Conclusion: The published literature lacks strong evidence that organic foods are significantly more nutritious than conventional foods. Consumption of organic foods may reduce exposure to pesticide residues and antibiotic-resistant bacteria."

So organic food is just as nutritious as non-organic food.
Also, as far as I'm aware, the studies under review didn't try to find the sorts of pesticides and other things used in the growing of organic foods, which would likely serve to undermine the last sentence of the review's conclusion.
