Well, it took a while, but Orwell's 1984 is finally here

'Newspeak is the fictional language of Oceania, a totalitarian superstate that is the setting of George Orwell's dystopian 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. To meet the ideological requirements of English Socialism (Ingsoc) in Oceania, the ruling Party created Newspeak,[1] a controlled language of simplified grammar and restricted vocabulary, meant to limit the freedom of thought—personal identity, self-expression, free will—that threatens the ideology of the rĂ©gime of Big Brother and the Party, who have criminalized such concepts into thoughtcrime as contradictions of Ingsoc orthodoxy.'

1) To support logic and reason, Christianity, family life, working for a living, is racist and bad.

2) If you defend yourself from those knocking down your gates, you're the aggressor and should be punished.

3) Suggesting a discussion on why 'All lives matter' is unacceptable, and if you are shot dead for offering that possibility then US MSM news will basically ignore you.

4) Walking arm in arm in massive protests is good, but meeting in church or a home Bible study is unsafe and should be banned.

The list goes on.

Orwell's dystopian 1984 offered that, 'Freedom is slavery' and 'Ignorance is strength' and 'acceptable speech' is anything deemed to be politically correct, no matter how illogical. Based on our present trajectory, once the 'old system' is burned down, including basic local police, free markets, freedom of self-defense, then the Totalitarian New World Order will be much harsher and much more oppressive than anything ever seen before in history.

Some people are waking up and beginning to understand the truth. Logic and wisdom aren't bad, they're good. It's a sad irony that George Orwell could see the dangers of political correctness and moral relativism but at the same time could not recognize that God exists and is the logical reference point of meaning, purpose, and value. Though he did not recognize the truth of God's existence, Orwell did recognize that truth is often despised: "The further a society dirfts from truth the more it will hate those that speak it."

If you aren't sure whether God exists, I'd recommend looking into the simple and logical arguments for God's existence that William Lane Craig presents. God is the ultimate source of meaning, hope, justice, and peace. The more we as a society and as individuals embrace God, the more of these things we will see. The Holy Spirit is still working today in the world, despite the increasing violence and chaos. We as the church are not called to support lawlessness, but to be salt and light. Greg Laurie says that thousands are becoming Christians at this time based on messages their ministry receives. God is at work both restraining evil and saving souls in our time.

"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way." 2 Thessalonians 2:7
